Collection: MARCELLO SCARSELLI

Born in Santa Maria a Monte, Italy, in 1953, Marcello Scarselli began his artistic career in the 1970s.  He has held multiple solo exhibitions in France, Austria, Belgium, Germany, England, Portugal, Switzerland, Croatia, and Japan along with Italy. His early works were marked by realistic elements, but he eventually gravitated toward portraying an abstract "reality", painted from memory and intuition. Critics have repeatedly complimented Scarselli's concepts, which continually embrace abstract expressionism, sign gestures, and dreamy elements which are highlighted by complex and stylistic diversity. Scarselli's use of graphics give his works modern energy, as each symbol exists in its own infinite freedom, symbolizing the emptiness of reality.
